The GHS is an acronym for The Globally Harmonized System of Classification and Labelling of Chemicals. The GHS is a system for standardizing and harmonizing the classification and labelling of chemicals. Chemicals are associated with codes that define their health, physical and environmental hazards. This universal hazard communication system was developed to ensure that employers, employees and consumers are provided with adequate, practical, reliable and comprehensible information on the hazards of chemicals, so that they can take effective preventive and protective measure for their own health and safety.

EU Hazard Classification Directive 67/548/EECHazard Symbols are used to classify dangerous substances.
Hazard SymbolsRisk Phrases, denoted as a series of numbers preceded by the letter "R" indicate the nature of the special risks, in accordance with Annex III to Directive 67/548/EEC (see Article 23(2)(d) Directive 67/548/EEC). The numbers are separated by either a comma to denote separate statements concerning special risks, or an oblique stroke (/) to denote a combined statement, in a single sentence, of the special risks.
Risk PhrasesSafety Phrases, denoted as a series of numbers preceded by the letter "S" indicating the recommended safety precautions, in accordance with Annex IV to Directive 67/548/EEC. The numbers are separated by either a comma to denote separate statements concerning safety precautions, or an oblique stroke (/) to denote a combined statement, in a single sentence, of the safety precautions.
Safety PhrasesSVHC is a substance (identified by the European Chemicals Agency) that may have serious and often irreversible effects on human health and the environment. SVHC are defined in Article 57 of Regulation (EC) No 1907/2006 (“the REACH Regulation”) and include substances which are:

Acute health effects
From MSDS:
Emergency Overview
Textured gray paste product. Harmful if swallowed.
Primary Routes of Entry: Skin Contact, Skin Absorption, Eye Contact, Inhalation, Ingestion.
Eye Contact: May cause eye irritation.
Skin Contact: May cause skin irritation.
Inhalation: May cause respiratory tract irritation.
Ingestion: May cause throat irritation.
Medical conditions aggravated by exposure: If product is dry sanded, asthma and/or asthma-like conditions may become worse, from prolonged or repeated exposure to dust. -

Carcinogenicity
ACGIH: Silica, crystalline and trace residual Formaldehyde present in base emulsion are suspected human carcinogens. Monomers used in base emulsions are confirmed animal carcinogens with unknown relevance to humans.
OSHA: Trace residual Formaldehyde present in base emulsion viewed as a possible cancer hazard. Monomer used in base emulsion, a cancer hazard.
IARC: Trace residual Formaldehyde: Human carcinogen. Monomers in base emulsion: Possible carcinogen. Crystalline silica: human carcinogen.
NTP: Silica, crystalline; Known carcinogen. Trace residual Formaldehyde and various monomers used in polymerization of base emulsion: Anticipated carcinogens.
Product contains trace amounts of residual Formaldehyde. OSHA and NTP identify Formaldehyde as a potential carcinogen. IARC identifies Formaldehyde as a human carcinogen. Formaldehyde has been shown to cause mutations in a variety of in-vitro test systems, with human significance unknown. Rats have shown carcinogenic effects in respiratory system. Risk should be minimal when used with adequate ventilation. Maintain adequate ventilation to prevent exposure above OSHA exposure limits. Product contains trace amounts of Acrylonitrile. It is exempt from OSHA Acrylonitrile Standard 29 CFR 1910.1045. Acrylonitrile has been classified by IARC as possibly carcinogenic to humans, by OSHA as carcinogenic and by NTP as anticipated to be a human carcinogen. There is some evidence that breathing respirable crystalline silica or the disease silicosis is associated with an increased incidence of significant disease endpoints such as scleroderma (an immune system disorder manifested by fibrosis of the lungs, skin and other internal organs), rheumatoid arthritis, systemic lupus, erythematosus, sarcoidosis, chronic bronchitis, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), emphysema, chronic kidney disease and end-stage renal disease. -
Handling information
Keep out of reach of children & pets. Do not take internally. Do not breathe vapors. Use only with adequate ventilation. Wash thoroughly after handling. Avoid contact with eyes, skin and clothing. Open windows and doors to ensure cross-ventilation and fresh air during application & curing. Close container after each use. Store containers away from excessive heat and freezing. Do not store at temperatures above 120F. Store away from caustics & oxidizers.

Disposal information
Dispose of material in accordance with Federal, State & Local regulations.
